I am still alive and well, just been slammed this summer. However, one of my best friends has been asking me to blog. She knows I have pictures to blog and stories to tell, but I have just been so busy or too tired. Anyways, here she is with her hubby and son. My girls are in a few of these as well. Presley and Reagan can never have too much Ian in there day! muah xoxo

Beach Engagement / Elkhart Wedding Photographer

I met Mandy through my sister-in-law Megan quite a few years ago. Mandy reminded me how at the time she met me I seemed so much “older” than her and all their friends. My husbands youngest brother Josh was in their class and so a college couple seems “old” when your only in 8th grade. Well now the time has passed and I will be shooting Mandy and Brett’s wedding this October. Brett proposed to Mandy up at Silver Beach so we thought it was only appropriate to shoot their engagement session on the beach. Thanks for making my job fun guys!

Well this is long overdue, but I am trying to get the ball rolling around here.

This wedding was actually shot on January 10 of this year. Kristen and Kevin are both so beautiful. Kristen is actually my sister-in-law Lisa’s sister….got that! So I have known her for sometime already.

Originally I was just asking Lisa if she thought Kristen and Kevin would let me take some photographs of them. When Lisa called me back and asked me if I wanted to do the whole wedding I was like..”WHAT, ARE YOU SERIOUS” well after working out all of my kinks (buying my camera, lenses etc.) I committed to their wedding. I was purchasing stuff anyway just didn’t know how soon I could get it all. I decided on the wedding and received my gear the week of. YIKES

Let me just say “Wow” wedding photography gives your lower extremities a really good workout. My mom and sister were at the wedding and they were laughing at me because they already knew how bad my legs were gonna hurt the next day. If you don’t know me I don’t do exercise. I am working on it though very slowly.

So back to the wedding day…I’ll skip over the part about me needing to drive 2 hours to Fort Wayne in a blizzard with a car that has only front wheel drive-what were we thinking with that purchase? Obviously we weren’t. I just liked it. Oh and the part about my car deciding to act up and shake like crazy, my coats zipper getting stuck, having to get pushed down my street by my husbands uncle, two very low tires (had to stop and fill those bad boys up) and the toll road machine not taking my money. There that’s it, but let me tell you it was worth it.

That’s just it sometimes we have to be faced with all of these obstacles so we will rely on God even more to get us where we need to be physically and emotionally. Lean on HIM as my mom has told me more than once lately!

Oh and the flower girl is my niece Jasmin…one ring bearer is my nephew River.
