here it is feb and my first post. my resolution was to post more. obviously that hasn’t happened….{until NOW}.

i have a 3 month old shoot tomorrow morning. i am so looking forward to it after taking much of the winter to enjoy my girls and my “new life”

and if you’re wondering whom the little cutie is holding the engagement ring…well that’s my little sweetie and that’s my ring!!!!!

I am still alive and well, just been slammed this summer. However, one of my best friends has been asking me to blog. She knows I have pictures to blog and stories to tell, but I have just been so busy or too tired. Anyways, here she is with her hubby and son. My girls are in a few of these as well. Presley and Reagan can never have too much Ian in there day! muah xoxo

L.O.V.E these photographs…..

Kevin and Kristen were married Jan 2009 and I was there to capture all those moments for them as well. Their wedding was the first wedding I photographed. Shortly thereafter Kristen and Kevin found out they would be having a baby. Kristen is my sister-in-law Lisa’s sister…got that? lol.

I had a million baby things and clothes that I was about to take to a garage sale, but soon as they found out they were expecting a girl all my strollers, car-seat, toys and about 15 diaper boxes full of clothes were put to great use!

Maylen actually has on one of Reagan’s outfits in the photos below.

We have been battling the flu around here for the last 4 days. I have been in the house with the girls for the last 6 days (5 of those were my days off). As I sit here in peace and quiet or “peas and corn” as my 3 year old Presley said it tonight, I am so thankful for my girls. Yes they have done their share of driving me completely without at doubt crazy these last few days, but I still LOVE them.

Now that we all have our Tamiflu in our systems I’m hoping for a better tomorrow.

It’s moments like these below that I realize how blessed I am and thankful I am for the joys that have been put into my life. I’m thankful that my girls are able to walk, run, climb, ride, draw, talk, laugh, smile, giggle, eat, play, giggle again, cry, love, live and even be stinkers.

It’s moments like these below that I have to remind myself to slow down and remember they’re a child and they were given to me to give them the best love and care that I am capable of.

It’s moments like these below that make me smile because I was there to capture all of these moments.

I was there to watch them draw, jump, smile, giggle, ride, run, sleep, kiss boo-boo’s, and all the wonderful things they do.

It’s moments like these that I will cherish and always remind myself to look back upon when I’m having a UGH moment because we have been stuck in our house sick for 6 days.

It’s moments like these that shows me just how BEAUTIFUL you both are and how much I LOVE YOU both.

BIG LEAVES {Elkhart, Indiana Photographer}

I took Presley and Reagan outside last week to play on one of the nicest days we had in quite a while. We live on a dead end cul-de-sac so all the leaves congregate right by our home. I had so much fun watching these two play. Reagan is talking like crazy and her favorite word lately is “pumpkin.” A few of our neighbors have the inflatable halloween decorations and so the girls love to watch them at night out of Reagan’s window. Once we were in the circle playing Reagan squatted down and told Presley and myself to “shhh” and pointed to the pumpkins across the way. I’m not sure if she thinks they can hear us or not, but it was so sweet. The girls took turns finding extremely large leaves and acorns. Enjoy these little snap shots of our girls enjoying themselves together.

Girls I love you both so much.

Family Fun at the Lake / Elkhart Family Photographer

Ahh the beauty of the lake. I grew up many of my summers on the lake. We would move up soon as school was out and move back right before school would start. A few Friday’s ago we went up to the lake to hang out with our Dad. I was bummed that Jeremy didn’t get to come along it was our girls first time tubing. Here are some of my favorite images from that day and the fun times we had. Thanks Dad we love you and had an awesome time.

Well I have been super busy lately and just wanted to tell a quick story of Miss Presley. Presley turned 3 last week and every time she wants to tell me a story it starts out by … “mom when me was a baby I sat on that chair”….or….”mom when me was a baby I wear this shirt. Well I very quickly figured out that since she turned 3 everything prior to that day she considered as “she was a baby”. I absolutely love it. She is cracking me up telling me these hilarious stories all the time.

I have so much to still update on my blog. I had my first published photo in an annual children’s center report/magazine. My photo was on the cover and I loved it. Thank you so much Shawna for finding me and if I am ever in Oregon I will let you know.

Then on top of that I received this unbelievable gift from my dad and will be posting some photos of that very shortly. If you haven’t already seen or heard about it on my facebook or seen me driving around town you too will be amazed. He had asked my quite a few months ago for some images and info about my business and showed up last weekend at Presley’s birthday party with a SUV and a complete screen/photo wrap advertisement for Moments By Ali. Kinda hard to imagine just check back in a few days and I’ll have a photo for you.

Well here are a few photos I do have to share of Miss Presley and one of Miss Reagan dancing….just some good fun watching our girls be themselves!

One more thing she did something so amazing a month ago when she woke up and decided she wanted to wear panties all the time and there you have it she was potty trained! Voila just like that!

Mother’s Day 2009 Lake Michigan/ Elkhart Family Portrait Photographer

Well even though I have tons of peeps to blog about I just wanted to share some of the wonderful moments I captured lately of my family. I am even in a few of the photos. Thankfully my youngest sis Mal is getting the hang of using my Nikon a little. For Mother’s Day my AWESOME Mom and youngest Sis went out with my girls and I for a day at the beach. Sorry Marin that you weren’t back in town yet, but Cali weather was better I’m sure. We started out our morning heading to church then off to eat. We sat in the parking lot on a blanket eating carryout since Reagan (my youngest) had already fallen asleep. It was quite a site to see us chilling in the lot at Maple Cafe I’m sure the people inside were wondering what we were doing. We then headed up to New Buffalo, MI and also Michigan City Park Beach, IN. We were so thankful that the rain finally stopped and we were able to enjoy the beautiful day. Just as we were leaving my mom was offering a stranger a “jump” cause their car wouldn’t start. As we were waiting we started to chat and found out that these strangers were actually some of my new neighbors…SMALL WORLD! Glad we could help you guys out. Thank you Mom and Mal for spending such a wonderful day with us. Happy Mother’s Day again MOM I LOVE YOU!
